The SuperFact with Perplexity. At first glance, you may think the SuperFact supports the Over (2.5) but I disagree. This is based on the totality of the fixture. In the present day, we have two sterling defensive clubs. Much better than and a level clear of the average of this fixture. This has me on the Under. Facts matter.

  • ARS: 1/20 in GA (5) & 1/20 in GA/90 (0.62).
Arsenal on X. Bonkers how the Gunners exited the League Cup.

KEY OPINION

This is a play on Liverpool and Arsenal to stay under of the posted total of 2.5 when the Reds host the Gunners Sunday afternoon at Anfield. Midweek EFL Cup play for both sides is a bit concerning but I just cant look past the elite defensive metrics — and the eye tests which support — both clubs. These are two of the best defensive clubs in the competition and I’ll lean on that here. Play to -05.

Spurs on X. Hey speaking of Tottenham, how about Harry Kane?!? I really liked what he said upon reception of the coveted award in thanking Spurs and the Premier League for helping him develop into a player whom could win said award. He’ll always be an all-time TOT and PL great, in my books.

KEY OPINION

This is a play on Tottenham to usurp its team total of 2.5 when the Spurs host Crystal Palace Saturday evening at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Very simply, Spurs are in decent form. The Eagles are not. If not now for Spurs to net three goals, when? Play to +45.

MY TAKE

For the *Best Bet by Darkseid Sports* for MW9, it’s a play on the Chelsea Team Total Over (1.5, at -50 herein) when the Blues host reeling Manchester United Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge in London. This is a continued fade of Man Utd as referenced in the previous release. The Red Devils are “Condemned to Concede,” so it’s just a matter of how many for Chelsea. I say the Blues net two, at minimum. I have to believe Chelsea will be looking to put it to its classic northwest rival when it’s down. For all that, CHE Ov 1.5 (-50) is your *Best Bet by Darkseid Sports* for Premier League Matchweek 9.

PRICE CHECK

The average price of the three actions pursuant to this release of “The Premier League Prologue” was +107.

MANCHESTER UNITED MINUTES

Well, here it is. Of all the many things this club has done wrong — certainly since the end of last season — one of the correct the decisions the club has made is to not to make another knee-jerk reaction to an unsuccessful run, hire another manager and start from scratch. The more important issue here is whether the football arm of the club operated by Ratcliffe and INEOS will finally spend the necessary monies to compete, sign players and back the manager. If it is serious about owning and operating Man Utd the next step would be to get active in the January window and to ultimately find an end to the Rashford-saga and get his contract off the books, whether by sale or buyout. I also think this retention should equate to a two-year run. Good for this term and next. That stance by ownership would have weight to it.
I thought it was the correct decision to retain Michael Carrick. How about the club backs the manager now?
