REVIEW: T7B v5.0 saw an unwelcome, unexpected and unequivocal regression in the portfolio with an unacceptable 2-5 ledger. The only positive to write of was another satisfaction of my feature play, the “Top Choice.”

From the betting perspective, I’m poised to again enter the arena and rejoin the winning ethos.

• UNC-CH: 120th nationally in Total Offense (306.3 YPG) & 102nd in Scoring Offense (20.5). The Tarheel rushing attack is 106th in YPC (3.5) & 118th in Rushing Offense (100.3 YPG). North Carolina is 115th in Comp% (57.14) & 131st in INT% (4.46).

KEY OPINION

• It’s a play on the home Duke Blue Devils laying three points when it hosts the North Carolina Tarheels Saturday afternoon in a rivalry game at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham. I think the Blue Devils are better both offensively and defensively. Duke is 5-1-1 in is L7 on grass and has won the last two in this series. Duke should make it three Saturday. Grab the -3 if not a better number.

— 🏈: ALABAMA (-7.5) at Tennessee

• ALA: 1st nationally in Scoring Offense (44.2 PPG). The Crimson Tide is 22nd in Total Offense (452.5 YPG), 12th in YPP (6.7) and T1 in RZ Score% (100.0).

• TENN: The Volunteers offense is 84th in YPP (5.2), 68th in Total Offense (370.2 YPG) & 120th in the country in Passing Offense (162.0)

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the visiting Alabama Crimson Tide laying -7.5 points when it travels to Knoxville to oppose the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium. I think this is a bridge too far for Tennessee. I don’t like the Volunteers offense at all. The Alabama team which gave Georgia a game last week should handle this assignment. Grab the -7.5. Consider ALA in Auxiliary markets too.

— 🏈: KENTUCKY (+6.5) at Oklahoma

• UK: 5th in the country in TO Margin (+1.4) & 8th in Takeaways (2.2 pr/gm). The Wildcats are 15th in Penalties (4.6 pr/gm).
• OU: 121st nationally in Total Offense (304.6 YPG), 118th in 3D Conv% (30.3), & 109th in YPP (4.8). The Sooners are 123rd in TO Margin (-1.0).

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the Kentucky Wildcats getting +6.5 points when it travels to Norman to face the Oklahoma Sooners Saturday night at Memorial Stadium. This is a fade of the Sooners in the aftermath of a surprise win in its rivalry game versus Texas at the Cotton Bowl last week. I’m calling for this to be a letdown spot. The metrics favor OU but Kentucky is tough, always up for it and they just find ways to win. Take the +6.5.

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the visiting Nebraska Cornhuskers in reception of 7 points when it travels to Eugene to oppose the Oregon Ducks Saturday night at Autzen Stadium. The Nebraska which showed up and delighted readers and bettors last week as my feature play can cover this number. Is this where the wheels fall off for the Ducks? I was sour on them before the season started. I like the Nebraska offense versus the Oregon defense. Grab the +7, play to +6.5.

• This is a play on the Jacksonville Jaguars when it acts as the home team playing host to the Houston Texans when the two teams meet Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London. Right now, I have a SF/JAX Super Bowl. Houston is no good. JAX has the better QB and defense. Let’s not overthink or sensationalize it. It’s Jacksonville. Play to -3.

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the New York Football Giants in reception of one point when it plays host to the New Orleans Saints Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Giants have been a pleasant surprise and possibly the most overachieving team in the NFL. This team is feisty. This team has met every challenge thus far. Here, we’re getting a point against a team which plays at least 9 games per season indoors. I think the Giants have edges defensively and in the kicking game here. The stats say the New Orleans defense and its kicking game don’t travel. Play to PK and include in all markets (ML, ATs, TSR, ALT). New York (N) +1 is the *Top Choice* for this T7B release.
