• It’s a play on the Texas Longhorns laying -7 points when it opposes its classic rival, the Oklahoma Sooners, in the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Saturday afternoon. Pick a number and lay it. Don’t eye it, try it. I’ll simplify it for you: I don’t think much of OU. This could be a desecration and should be another signature moment for Arch Manning and the Longhorns. No jive, play to -9.5.

• A&M: 46th nationally in Scoring Offense (31.8 PPG). The Aggies are 78th in YPP/A (5.7). Satisfaction of the Over is 6-0 in A&M’s last 6 games after an outright win.

• MIZZOU: 28th in the country in Scoring Offense (33.5 PPG) & 29th in YPP (6.3).

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the Texas A&M Aggies and the Missouri Tigers to usurp the posted total of 48.5 when the two teams meet Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in Columbia. A&M is in desperation mode to salvage its season. Missouri could be due for some level of letdown in the aftermath of pounding Florida. I think this translates to points for A&M. MIZZOU should keep up in a game it should win. I just think the comedown from last week translates to points on the board. Play to 49.5.

• This is a play on the Georgia Bulldogs in receipt of two points when it travels to Bryant-Denny Stadium to oppose the Alabama Crimson tide in a classic Southeastern Conference joust in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. Very simply, I think I have the better team with the better coach. And I’m getting points. Really now, what *exactly* is the angle in fading the Bulldogs? Consider the outright win in auxiliary. Play to +1.

• This is a play on the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears to eclipse the total of 45.5 points when the two teams in the National Football League’s oldest rivalry meet Sunday afternoon at venerable Lambeau Field. I’m going on gut feel here. I have to believe both teams are motivated to score and make the other defense look bad in this rivalry game. Both teams have impactful injuries, so it’s a negated issue. It’s a manageable total. My xAAPT is 47. Play to 46.5.

• This is a play on the Arizona Cardinals, at home, in reception of +5.5 points when it plays the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Who the hell are the Lions to be laying this number in this spot? I’ve been writing since before the season started I thought Detroit was a descending project. I’ll fade them here with the unheralded Cardinals. Play to +4.5.

The class, quality and metrics of both these defenses speak for themselves and are devoid of opinion. I’ll trust them to carry the day. It’s proven divisional matchups lean under. I’ll trust such too. Play to 46.

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the Nebraska Cornhuskers getting +7.5 points when it hosts the defending National Champion Indiana Hoosiers Saturday at Memorial Stadium. I thought Nebraska showed poise and force last week in an obvious lookahead spot where it had to play from behind. I really think this is the day Nebraska rejoins the national conversation. The Cornhuskers surely have to be the best team Indiana has faced all season. Mind you, Nebraska is 4-1 ATS in its L5, so the form is there. The Cornhuskers are T17 in major offensive and defensive metrics (noted above) . So for all that, It’s a try on NEB +7.5 for me as the Top Choice pursuant to The 7 Best v5.0. They’ll have something for Indiana on Saturday.
