REVIEW: T7B v2.0 was an unsatisfactory portfolio with a 3-4 ledger including a miss on my feature play, the “Top Choice.”

From the betting perspective, I’m back again to do better.

• CAL: 95th nationally in Scoring Defense (31.5 PPG/A), 113th in Total Defense (449.0) & 101st in YPP/A (6.2).

KEY OPINION

• It’s a play on Clemson and California to go over the total of 51 when the two teams meet Friday night in Berkeley. Very simply, I don’t like either defense. I did like how Clemson finished the North Carolina game. Cal plays fast. If the Tigers can score to or above its average this total should get there.

• OU: 128th nationally in TO-Margin (-1.7 per game) & 103rd in the country in Giveaways (2.0 per game).

• UGA: 1st nationally (of 138) in Scoring Offense (57.5 PPG) & RZ% (100.0). The Bulldogs are 3rd in the country in 3D Conversion% (60.87%), 7th in YPP (7.6) & 14th in Total Offense (478.5 YPG).

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the Georgia Bulldogs and the Oklahoma Sooners to ascend over the total of 43.5 when the two programs joust Saturday afternoon at Sanford Stadium in Athens. I don’t think the Sooners belong on the same field as the Bulldogs. Georgia could cover most of the total by themselves. It’ll be all UGA. Possible SGP candidate here…chalk to over. I like the total a bit more than the side for T7B honors. I like anything over the market total as of this writing.

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the Michigan State Spartans to cover the +5.5 points when it hosts the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. I think MSU is a step-up in class from anything NEB has faced thus far. Coming off a loss to Notre Dame and with a trip to Wisconsin next week, this becomes a high-leverage, competitive spot for the Spartans. Grab +6 if it becomes available.

• NO: 19/32 in Scoring Defense (24.0 PPG/A), 21st in Total Defense (340.5 YPG/A) & 17th in YPP/A (5.3). The Saints are 9th in Scoring Offense (27.0 PPG) & 6th in 3D-Conv% (50.0%).

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints to ascend over the total of 44 when the teams meet Sunday afternoon in the Superdome. I think to some extent the Raiders defense has overachieved thus far. Some regression is due, superfluous to the fact the unit faced Miami and an out-of-sorts Los Angeles (A) side thus far. New Orleans games have seen points and have been entertaining to say the least. Play to 44.5.

KEY OPINION

• This is a play on the Carolina Panthers laying two-and-a-half points on the road against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Third release in succession on Carolina. I would need to see Cleveland winning two games in a row to believe it. As I’ve maintained in each release thus far, Carolina is an ascending team. Its offense should carry the day. Play to -3.5.

• This is a play on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers getting a point-and-half at home Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings. I’m playing against recency bias and I’m not a believer in Minnesota. Play to +1.

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the Iowa Hawkeyes receiving 5.5 points when it travels to the “Big House” to oppose the Michigan Wolverines Saturday in Ann Arbor. Very simply, I think this line is incorrect. I think the wrong team is favored superfluous to venue. I think Iowa is better on both sides of the ball. Who has the coaching edge? You tell me. Play to +3.5 and have a dusting on the outright win. It’s a try on Iowa +5.5 for me as the Top Choice pursuant to The 7 Best v3.0.
