MY TAKE
This just feels like a spot where it’s prudent to get involved in the same-game ethos in the shots on-target market when Mexico plays South Korea today from Estadio AKRON in Guadalajara, MX. This is not a big ask to ask for three or four SoT’s from both sides. We’re in the middle of Group Stage now. The time to sit back, park the bus and hope for a result is over. I made my feelings known about El Tri very clear back in my v1.0 release. Here, it’s still a host-nation playing in front of a home crowd. I think this helps El Tri — or any team in this host spot — in the SoT market, especially in second half situations where teams are attacking and looking to score. As for South Korea, this is not outside its purview. For me the bigger hurdle is the logistics of the match, not the talent of the opponent. Nevertheless. you have to attack to win, like England did yesterday for example. And if South Korea decides to take the action to the Mexicans I think the Koreans will find clearance of three SoT’s with ease. The residual energy this match should bring should equate to some level of scoring. Goals are up this tournament it seems. We’re merely asking for two goals total, between both teams. I think we can get it. Should be a decent match, this.
