As always, Good Luck and Play Responsibly.

This is v7.0 of the 2025-26 edition of the Super 5. We’re re off to an OK start but the auxiliary actions could be better.
The premise of the Super 5 is to release my 5 best positions — which I bet myself with my own money — across College Basketball’s biggest leagues and in select action in the lower leagues.

LAS VEGAS — Here it is. A glorious midweek slate of quality College Basketball is upon us and I’m back to deliver winners on my Top 5 positions — the Super 5 — for the Wednesday CBB betting board, including the world-famous Potency Play and Top Choice. Let’s get down to business. Here’s the deal for the Super 5:

IU INDY/DETROIT MERCY UNDER 183.5 POINTS

📚: Multi

Jaguars Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • IUI: 308th nationally in (Off.) TO’s (14.3).
  • UDM: 344th in the country in FG% (40%).
  • My xAPPT: 177
Titans Basketball on X

MY TAKE

It’s a play going under the total, at 183.5 Points herein, when the Detroit Mercy Titans host the IU Indy Jaguars Wednesday night at Calihan Hall. The Horizon League is serious business to me. I think this total is too high. It will be a track meet. Neither defense is very good. But a few stops and an off-night shooting can get us there. I’ll trust my “Math & Metrics” again and play under to 182.5.

HARVARD (+5.5) at UMASS

📚: Multi

Crimson Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • HU: 8th nationally in FT% (79.9) & 68th in 3PT% (37.0).
  • UMASS: 319th nationally in TO (14.3) & 332nd in FT% (64.7).

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the visiting Harvard Crimson getting 5.5 points when it plays away at in-state adversary UMASS Minutemen Wednesday evening at the Mullins Center in Amherst. This is not outside Harvard’s purview. I think it’s the better team and an outright win would not surprise me. The Key Metrics I reference for UMASS are wholly disqualifying. Play to +4 and we say no more.

LOUISVILLE/ARKANSAS UNDER 166 POINTS

📚: Multi

Cardinals Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • UL: 3-4 O/U & L3 have stayed Under this total. Louisville is 12th nationally in FG%/A (36.1).
  • ARK: 2-5 O/U & 4/7 YTD have stayed Under this Total. Arkansas is 45th nationally in FG%/A (40.0)
  • My xAAPT: 161
Razorbacks Basketball on X

MY TAKE

It’s a play going under the total, at 166 points herein, when the Arkansas Razorbacks host the Louisville Cardinals Wednesday night in an out-of-conference joust from Bud L. Walton Arena in Fayetteville as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge. I disagree with an expected high-scoring ethos here. Both team lean Under recently and both have been sterling defensively. Neither team is allowing over 40% FG%/A! So, it’s a try going Under for me. No jive, play to 165.

NORTHWESTERN (+10.5) at Wisconsin

📚: Multi

Wildcats Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • NW: 24th nationally in FG% (51.6) & 42nd in 3PT% (38.2). NW is 3rd in TO (8.9) & 4th in AST/TO (2/1). The Wildcats’ defense is 44th in 3PT%/A (28.1) & 46th in FG%/A (38.8).
  • UW: 3-7 ATS L10 in series. Badgers are 334th nationally in 3PT%/A (37.6%).

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the visiting Northwestern Wildcats, in reception of +10.5 points herein, when it visits the Wisconsin Badgers to open Big Ten Conference play Wednesday night at the Kohl Center in Madison. This is too many points I’m afraid. In recent times, the Wildcats always give the Badgers a proper scrap. Have your parachute ready, play to +10 and consider NW in ALT/TSR markets too.

NW +10.5 is the offical Potency Play for the Super 5 v7.0.
It’s time for the day’s Top Choice in College Basketball and the Super 5 (v7.0).

TOP CHOICE:

CLEMSON (+10.5) at Alabama

📚: Multi

Tigers Basketball on X.

KEY METRICS

  • CLEM: 12th nationally in TREB (39.5), 19th in OREB (11.8) & 18th in AST/TO (1.8). Clemson is 23rd in the country in 3PT%/A (26.6) & 32nd in FG%/A (38.1).
  • ALA: 201st nationally in 3PT%/A (32.9%) & 187th in FG%/A (43.5).
RIP

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the visiting Clemson Tigers getting 10.5 points on the road as part of ACC/SEC Challenge play versus the Alabama Crimson Tide Wednesday night at the Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa. Plainly, I think Clemson is being sensationally undervalued here and Alabama is being overvalued simultaneously. It’s the Tide’s defensive metrics which bother me here. I can’t get there, even at home. So, on the road, for better or worse, CLEMSON +10.5 is the TOP CHOICE pursuant to today’s Super 5 card. Go Tigers!

AUXILIARIES

2TM 6PT TSR. My standard. You can find them in more places than you think. These were placed at my point of numeric satisfaction, whether it be overnight or early morning lines.

🏀: 3TM 6PT TSR

INDIANA -3

LSU -1

PACIFIC-.5

Pretty Straightforward: I’ll move all of the Hoosiers and Tigers down to earn plus money.

Again, the points just mean more in my hands. Although I acknowledge it has been a chilly start to the term with these. I’ll do better. Know me late.

YTD: 1-0

🏀: Virginia at TEXAS (-2.5)

I passed on the Longhorns to focus on other positions. I liked my two plays in the lower leagues more. I chose Texas over LSU for First Cut status.

FUTURISTICS REVISITED

So far so good…
Cameron Boozer has been sensational.

BEYOND THE RIM

A series focused on honoring players, teams and coaches from yesteryear in College Basketball.

Player of the Week:

RIP. This stays up for another S5 release.

Coach of the Week

UNLV never should’ve let him go to Oklahoma, in my fact-based opinion.
