As always, Good Luck and Play Responsibly.

This is the 2025-26 debut edition of the Super 5. My apologies for the late start this season entering the CBB market. I’ve been so focusing on The 7 Best and The Premier League Prologue I haven’t had the time and energy to devote myself to the standard my global readership requires until this moment.
The premise of the Super 5 is to release my 5 best positions — which I bet myself with my own money — across College Basketball’s biggest leagues and in select action in the lower leagues.

LAS VEGAS — Well here we are. The new College Basketball season is in full go and I’m back to deliver winners on my Top 5 positions — the Super 5 — for this CBB betting slate, including the world-famous Potency Play and Top Choice. I see no reason for idle chit chat, so let’s get down to business.

The CBB Top Choice went 10-9-1 (50%/52.6%) and the CBB Potency Play went 10-7 (58.82%) last term. Sadly, the volume plays were not nearly as successful. I’m back now reclaim my status as a market leader this term.

I want you all to hear it from me: I will never do anything to besmirch this great sport. Dick Vitale is right, some safeguards need to be put in place.

DAVIDSON (+1.5) at Boston College

📚: Multi

  • Neutral Court: Charleston Classic, Charleston, SC
Davidson Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • DAV: Offensively, ranks 11th nationally in 3PT% (44.4%), 24th in FG% (52.2%).
  • BC:Offense ranks 328th nationally in FG% (40.3), 357th in 3PT% (24.2) & 325th in FT% (63.5%).

MY TAKE

It’s a play on Davidson getting a point-and-a-half when it opposes Boston College Friday afternoon on a neutral court in the Charleston Classic. The Eagles burned me in its opening game versus FAU and I’m here now to return the favor. As you can see in the Key Metrics, BC is very poor offensively early on. I’m thinking the icy start continues on a neutral court. These are two conferences (ACC, A10) I follow very closely. Davidson (4-0) is off to a nice start. I don’t think much of BC. So, it’s Davidson for me. Play to -1.5.

SIUE (-2) at Air Force

📚: Multi

Cougars Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • SIUE: 28th in the country in FG%/A (36.7%). 32nd nationally in TREB (38.2).
  • AFA: The offense is 360th nationally in Scoring Offense (63.2 PPG) & 350th in AST/TO (0.8). Defensively, AFA is 307th in FG%/A (45.7%).
SIUE is the offical Potency Play for the S5v1.0

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the visiting SIU-Edwardsville Cougars laying two points when it faces the Air Force Falcons Friday afternoon in Colorado Springs. With all due, AFA (1-4) is off to a really poor start to the term. SIUE (3-2) has wins over UTSA and Drake thus far…that CV should be enough to get the job done here. The Falcons metrics are really bad. AFA is a full-fade until proven otherwise. SIUE it is for me and the Potency Play for the Super 5 v1.0.

LOUISVILLE/CINCINNATI UNDER 164.5 POINTS

📚: Multi

Cardinals Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • LOU: 84th nationally in FG%/A (38.9%).
  • CIN: 1/3 O/U. 25th nationally in FG%/A (35.6%) & 68th in 3PT% (27.0%). UC is 275th in the country in 3PT% (29.9%).
  • My xAAPT: 157
Bearcats Basketball on X.

MY TAKE

It’s a play going under the total, at 164.5 points herein, when the Louisville Cardinals head on the road to resume its rivalry with the Cincinnati Bearcats Friday evening at the Heritage Bank Center. I just think this total is a tad high for two solid defensive clubs early on who haven’t necessarily found its way with the basketball. It’s a rivalry game. It could get chippy. I think every possession will matter. It just feels like an under to me. Play to 163.5.

PURDUE (-3) at Texas Tech

📚: Multi

*Neutral Court: Baha Mar Convention Center, Nassau, Bahamas

Boilermakers Basketball on X

KEY METRICS

  • PUR: Offensively, ranks 6th nationally in AST/TO (2.2), 22nd in TO (9.2) & 30th in 3PT% (39.9%).
  • TT: 205th nationally in FG% (45.1%).
Big game, this.

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the Purdue Boilermakers on a neutral court laying three points when it opposes the Texas Tech Red Raiders Friday evening in Nassau. I just think Purdue got its scare last night in turning away Memphis. I’m expecting a more polished, focused effort tonight. Braden Smith is terrific. Purdue is the better offensive basketball team. It’s the Boilermakers for me. Grab -3.

It’s time for the day’s Top Choice in College Basketball for the S5v1.0.

TOP CHOICE:

— Memphis at WAKE FOREST (-2.5)

📚: Multi

  • Neutral Court: Baha Mar Convention Center, Nassau, Bahamas
Wake Basketball on X.

KEY METRICS

  • MEM: Offensive ranks, nationally: 297th in 3PT% (29.8%), 289th in FG% (42.6%), 320th in TREB (30.2) & 202nd in AST/TO (1.1). Defensively, the Tigers are 309th in FG%/A (47.0%) & 298th in 3PT%/A (36.0).
  • WF: 31st nationally in 3PT%/A (25.9%). 98th in AST/TO (1.4) with the ball.

MY TAKE

It’s a play on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on a neutral court laying two-and-a-half points Friday afternoon in the Bahamas. This is a play against Memphis more than anything else. They’ve been off to a tough start metrically and I just think it ran its race in the Bahamas trying to beat Purdue yesterday. I’m thinking a letdown is due. I’ll play the better team from the better conference. It’s Wake for me, play to -3.

AUXILIARIES

2TM 6PT TSR. My standard. You can find them in more places than you think.

DAVIDSON +7.5

SAN DIEGO -1.5

Pretty Straightforward: I’ll move Davidson up , as I like it ATS, and San Diego down.

Again, the points just mean more in my hands.
