As always, Good Luck and Play Responsibly.

We go again.
The Premeir League is the Best League in the World and the Best League There Is

LAS VEGAS — Here it is. The Premier League weekend (+ Monday) is here and Matchweek 2 is ready. I thought the football was decent enough and all the storylines from MW1 were covered properly all over the space. There’s no need to review. But here we are for MW2 and hopefully I have some winners for you now.

To reiterate, this term I am being more efficient in my delivery and won’t waste your time or mine with fluff contents focused on superfluous matters.

My Plays for MW2. A very light card upon reentry, even at MW2

— ⚽️: BOURNEMOUTH 90+ (-25)

📚: William Hill/Caesars

KEY METRICS

  • BOU: 1.7 npxG (Non-Penalty xG), 4.0 G+A/90 n MW1
  • WOL: 0.6 xG with just 12 Progressive Carries and 23 Progressive Passes in MW1
Cherries at Vitality against a poor Wolves side? Ok, sure.

MY TAKE

This is a play on the market having on a lower valuation than myself on The Cherries after MW1. The match is at Vitality Stadium in front of the home fans. Maybe just maybe AFCB manager Andoni Iraola runs a tight program there? The Cherries which were ferocious in its comeback at Anfield versus the league champs surely can handle this assignment. Wolverhampton is a relegation candidate as we sit here today. Wolves were domesticated comprehensively in MW1. Granted, Bournemouth isn’t Manchester City and a 4-nil score sheet is probably a whisper of a dream but in the aftermath of that pumping, I just think it’s a big ask to go to the Vitality and expect a result. I can’t get there. It’s AFCB to do the job inside 90+ minutes for me.

A key move for The Cherries this transfer window. (This transaction has no bearing on my play for Saturday.)

— ⚽️: BREAVL UNDER 2.5 (EV)

📚: William Hill/Caesars

Basic BREAVL intro via the CBS Sports App

KEY METRICS:

  • BRE: 0.7 npxG (MW1). Darkseid Sports has led and guided the global Premier League betting space in touting Brentford FC as relegationists (not a word) in the Futures market this term (see below).
  • AVL: 0.2 npxG & 10 Progressive Carries (MW1)
The Bees have no other choice than to defend everything.
Could Villa debut its new third kit here?

MY TAKE

It’s a play on under the total when Brentford hosts Villa Saturday in London. Aston Villa was inept in MW1. Maybe said ineptitude lasts another week? I’m calling for an ugly match…one the visitors should win. There’s still no resolution to the Yoane Wissa situation and w/out him I don’t rate The Bees offensive attack whatsoever. We’ll try the under here at value.

It’s time for the *Best Bet by Darkseid Sports* for MW2. Good Luck and Play Responsibly

— ⚽️BB: FULMUN BTTS (-45)

📚: William Hill/Caesars. Offered at DraftKings (-55) & FanDuel (-58)

Basic FULMUN intro via the CBS Sports App (edited)

KEY METRICS

  • FUL: 1.5 xG/A, 38 Progressive Passes Against in MW1
  • MUN: 1.5 xG, 1.3 xG/A, 48 Progressive Passes in MW1. Man Utd had 31 Progressive Carries in MW1, the most by any PL club.
I am challenging Man Utd to score a goal. The no-goals crap has to end.
Fulham celebrated this third kit release this week. Surely the classic home kits would suffice. But the beauty of black kits is you can wear them a lot and maybe this is a spot debut the new kit.

MY TAKE

It’s a play on Fulham – Manchester United Both Teams to Score for me as the Best Bet for MW2. I feel like at minimum we could get a the 1-1 basic score to satisfy this wager. A cornerstone theory behind this play is both teams have work to do in the aftermath of MW1. Man Utd cannot go another goalless week…like ever. It did enough to score v Arsenal last week, maybe this week the Red Devils decide to actually score. Fulham will be home at Craven Cottage and will have something to prove with the ball as its offensive output at Brighton last week was minimal in the absence of its set-piece goal just before the final whistle.

CREATOR’S NOTE: It’s Matchweek Two you guys. There simply (still) isn’t much data, digital cinema (film) or metrics to go by. I’m going on “feel” and on past data and how I think it translates into a new season with MW1 data in support.

Good Luck🤜🤛Play Responsibly

BEYOND THE TABLE

You can get the Premier League table anywhere. It’s superfluous at MW2. But a table built on xG is something we can use for Sports Investment purposes and Squawka has done solid, practical work in bringing us this PL table built on xG.

FUTURISTICS

In case you missed it (ICYMI), here are three (3) PL Futures I released here and on my X page. Follow me on X. Do it now. I legitimately created, guided and influenced the global market to tout Brentford FC for relegation.
