As always, Good Luck and Play Responsibly

This is the 18th edition of the Super 5. The Super 5 Record YTD sits at 34-59-1 with a Top Choice record of 8-9-1. Pursuant to the CCHC which started a month and change ago, the Super 5 from Darkseid Sports sits at 15-29, 4-3 Top Choice, 17 Points. The scoring is 1 point per win, half point per push, 1.5 points per Top Choice win. Very sadly and to the lamest extent possible, the competition recently was made a private, illegitimate endeavor hidden behind a paywall.
The premise of the Super 5 is to release my 5 best positions — which I bet myself with my own money, anybody who tells you otherwise is lying and wouldn’t say it to my face— across College Basketball’s best leagues. This competition is (usually) not one for action on smaller leagues. I do this to be better prepared for the NCAAT, which we are now deep into. Since I am totally excluded publicly in the sports betting space, I mirrored my results against contestants in the CCHC, which has an astute field.
This all-time image from the NCAA Tournament is the cover photo for my X account. Follow me there. I’m not hard to find.
Some of my favorite players from my favorite teams who wore 5. I should have included Edgerrin James at Miami (FL)…

Dent is an immense get for Mick Cronin and UCLA. He changes the Bruins’ outlook for next season.
Get to know UCLA in the B1G next season.
What about the Coaches’ Portal? That’s always open? Some parameters either needs to be applied to both or none. That’s my point.
SATURDAY SUPER 5 RECORD: 34-59-1 TOP CHOICE RECORD: 8-9-1
CCHC REFLECTIVE: 15-28, 4-3 17 Points

I acknowledge the results haven’t been there and this term is a loss in totality. This is not what I am accustomed to in this market. But I’m in it to finish strong, and back or fade, I stand behind my contents and how I present my actions. I sell you nothing. I’ve been nothing but open and transparent. I am a feel good story. Right then, The Plays. -T

SATURDAY/SUNDAY

— Tennessee/Houston OVER 123.5

TENN/HOU KEY METRICS:

  • My xAAPT: 130 (I just think this total is too low and reliant on recency bias)
  • HOU: 2nd nationally 3PT%, Both teams T110 FT%

POTENCY PLAY (9-7 YTD)

The nationally recognized P2 serves as the second of three actions for the Elite 8

TEXAS TECH (+6.5) at Florida

There has to be easier ways to make money than to step in front of Florida but that’s what’s happening here. I’ll try the dogs citing TT is the cleaner (less TO) and better FT-shooting team.

RED RAIDERS KEY METRICS

  • 7th nationally AST/TO, 22nd 3PT%
  • UF: 197th FT%
It’s time for the Top Choice for the Elite 8.

— Alabama at DUKE (-6.5)

**For the CCHC Reflective, where one Top Choice can be selected for the weekly ledger, Duke will serve as the Elite 8 Top Choice**

It’s Duke for me as the Elite 8’s Top Choice. I’ve come too far to hedge now. I believe in these Blue Devils.

BLUE DEVILS KEY METRICS:

  • 24-13 ATS. 5th nationally AST/TO, 7th FG%/A, 16th FT%, 17th TO, 18th FG%
  • ALA: 281st nationally TO, 206th FT%

LEAN/PASS (CUT): Auburn ATS

Saturday Teaser Specials. Mixed results this term.

Tennessee +9.5

TENN/UH ⬆️117.5

BETTORS’ NOTE: If a number goes against me and a re-bet is appropriate, I’ll post the corresponding actions on my X account. This hold true for ATS + TSR markets.
My Futures (National Title winner) portfolio for this CBB season. We’re talking steakhouse visits or pizza parties-level investment. Nothing of supremely major stuff here. If you tail, even if at lesser odds, good luck and play responsibly.

DUKE 9:1

Got in preseason and collected paper tickets from all over. Missed out on 10:1.

If you follow me on X then you know I had plans for Duke. Of course that would include Chip investment. 2/3rds of the prediction is complete. ONE MORE WIN!

TEXAS A&M 55, 60:1 (LOSS)

Collected in paper form from January to mid-February.

WISCONSIN 100:1 (LOSS)

Collected casually in small increments from early January to the line falling off a cliff late January into early February .

ADD: VCU 250:1 (LOSS)

You want to get weird? Let’s get weird. I liked VCU out of the A10. It’s a “Beverage Dollars Play” on VCU at a price. If you paid attention, VCU was a part of the Teaser Speical series at points during the term.

REGIONAL ACTIONS (TO WIN)

WEST: ST. JOHN’S 6:1 (LOSS)

MIDWEST: TENNESSEE +370

It’s time for your history lesson, folks.

MOREOVER…

Very bullish on this.
With all due respect to Mr.
Whitlock, I disagree with him wholesale here. Ms. Parker looks great and I appreciate her take — even if different from the norm — on College Basketball in total.

GAMING PSA

Darkseid Sports is in agreement with the NCAA on this matter. Be a pro. Act like you’ve been there before. There is no place for harassing the student-athlete and that’s something I don’t do nor would condone. It’s one thing to playfully chide a team after a bet gone bad or to challenge coach/player on-field transgressions without bringing them into it publicly bad but to seek players out specifically — in any collegiate sport — is very weird and below board. Good day. -T

MY TAKE

One of the beauties of the tournament is every so often you the viewer and fan are subjected to truly special, extraordinary performances on the game’s grandest stage. Cooper Flagg’s performance in the Sweet 16 against Arizona was special. This was the sport’s best player showing a national audience the height of his powers in gripping, primetime television. I was blown away.
