LAS VEGAS — 15 weeks and 105 positions into The 7 Best and we are coming off one of the Legendary Nights in the competition’s history the previous do-si-do. Last week’s results yielded a 5-2 ledger, a quintessential, textbook-Darkseid Top Choice win with Navy, and then, in dramatic fashion I must say, the Survive-and-Advance win with UNLV (4.5 points CLV, btw) in the LA Bowl. The Show Goes On. The 7 Best record sits at 53-52, 8-7 Top Choice, season to-date. This being an arduous competition (*using Friday numbers*) where I’m mirroring myself with real action against other contestants (bettors) who are competing in a well-known competition (CFFI), on a well-known network whilst using the same scoring system, I feel like I have room to ascend but am humbled to still be participating. There’s a lot of names who get run I don’t in my rearview. It’s not what I’m accustomed to record-wise, but this is a tough competition and Friday numbers change everything. In relation to the scoring system for this project, this record equates to a total of 57 points (1.5 per TC win, 1 point per win, .5 per push). This stays relevant now and in the coming weeks as my departure in the competition comes when I would be the next eliminated in the CFFI. The CUT Line is 56.5 points. Full Disclosure: Elimination is on the table on the regular at this stage, so anything other than an eclectic mix of power and quality, and I’m tostadas.
