This is the second edition of the Super 5. My apologies for the late start this season entering the CBB market. I’ve been so consumed with launching Darkseid Sports and focusing on the CFB, NFL and EPL markets. I haven’t had the time and energy to devote myself to the standard my global readership requires until lately.
The premise of the Super 5 is to release my 5 best positions — which I bet myself with my own money — across College Basketball’s biggest leagues. This competition is not one for action on smaller leagues.

CBB PRIMER

SATURDAY SUPER 5 RECORD: 1-4, -EV TOP CHOICE RECORD: 1-0, +EV

It’s the Bruins for me Saturday. A masterful defensive team and I just think it’s better than UA.
I’ve downgraded Arizona. They don’t do it for me.

— PROVIDENCE/ST. BONAVENTURE OVER 127 POINTS

A very manageable number here. My xAAPT here is 133.
These regional jousts make CBB better.

— TENNESSEE/ILLINOIS UNDER 147.5 POINTS

Two good defensive teams going at it Saturday
My xAAPT here is 144.

— GONZAGA (-1.5) at UCONN (Neutral Site: Madison Square Garden)

Anything under 2-3 and I’m in. This isn’t the UCONN of the last two years.
Quality player. As we sit here today. I have the ZAGS a Final Four team.
It’s time for my Top Choice on the Saturday CBB schedule

TOP CHOICE:

— Louisville at KENTUCKY (-10.5)

You guys, this could be a desecration. UK is levels clear of L’Ville.
It will be all UK Saturday in a rivalry game with a new (UK) coach looking to make a statement.

FIRST PLAY OUT (CUT): OKLAHOMA

Forget UNC, Clemson is the ACC’s second-best team.

Could be a Saturday Scaries contender but me thinks the Wolfpack can parachute inside an inflated number here. KU will win but won’t cover this number.
We move this number down expecting a UF win of 2+ points. A few too many tools in the shed for ASU.
I have no equals or peers in the CBB Teaser space. They lack the confidence to be great with an extra 6 points.
