LAS VEGAS — 14 weeks and 98 positions into The 7 Best and we are coming off an arduous, -EV session the previous do-si-do. Last week’s results yielded a 2-5 ledger and a miss on the week’s Top Choice. There were some tough beats with Texas and the Cowboys. The 7 Best record sits at 48-50, 7-7Top Choice, season to-date. This being an arduous competition (*using Friday numbers*) where I’m mirroring myself with real action against other contestants (bettors) who are competing in a well-known competition (CFFI), on a well-known network whilst using the same scoring system, I feel like I have room to grow and can do better. It’s not what I’m accustomed to record-wise, but this is a tough competition and Friday numbers change everything. In relation to the scoring system for this project, this record equates to a total of 51.5 points (1.5 per TC win, 1 point per win, .5 per push). This stays relevant now and in the coming weeks as my departure in the competition comes when I would be the next eliminated in the CFFI. The good news is, there’s contestants , with 49.5 points, so, hopefully, barring another disaster-class, we don’t have to worry about elimination just yet. But full disclosure at this stage of the competition: a bad week and I’m toast. Clearly, I’m up against it.
