The Packers pound Tennessee to improve to 2-1.

The Green Bay Packers on X

LAS VEGAS — The Green Bay defense scored a defensive touchdown, manufactured two takeaways, produced 8 sacks and reserve quarterback Malik Willis accounted for 275 of the Packers’ 378 yards offensively en route to a 30-14 toasting of the Titans Sunday afternoon in Nashville.

Green Bay at Tennessee

KEY MOMENTS

The Jaire Alexander Pick-Six

  • 1st Quarter, 56 seconds left, 1st & 10 TEN from about its own 31-yard line. It’s only a 10-7 Green Bay lead at this moment. Titans have the ball and still a scintilla of belief. But TEN QB Will Levis makes a poor read, makes a worse throw and the game is never the same again.

GAMEBALLS

  • Malik Willis: 2 was brilliant Sunday and had his hand in just about everything Green Bay was trying to do offensively. He really put it to his former team nice and good.
Willis accounted for about 73% of GB’s offense v TEN
  • Jeff Hafley, on behalf of the entire defense: Green Bay liked what it liked defensively Sunday and had a lot of it. Levis was harassed essentially all afternoon. Once again, the Green Bay defense — leading the league in takeaways— forced multiple takeaways as it has become a theme of this defense. The Tennessee run game never got going. Sacks. Turnovers. A TD. Superlative individual performances all over…the Green Bay D gets a Game Ball.

  • Matt LaFleur, on behalf of the roster in its entirety: a few different ways it could’ve gone for Green Bay in the absence of Jordan Love. But it went smoothly. GB went 2-0. That’s comes down to organization, self-belief and man-management. That proves player buy-in. That’s leadership. That’s coaching.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM

I don’t have much in the way of negativity in the wake of a 30-14 away pumping other than to say the penalties are out of control. Another 10 on Sunday. Too much laundry on the field. I don’t do my laundry on Sunday, so why should the Packers?

Speaking of criticism, I thought this guy silenced the critics yesterday. You may not see the improvement or what he brings to the table but I do. A lot of wrong takes out there on CW9.

WHAT THE EXPERTS ARE SAYING

The Pat McAfee Show had good things to say about Green Bay in the wake of the job done in Tennessee…

GBP BET OF THE WEEK

In The 7 Best volume three, readers were given Green Bay +2.5 (W) as part of the College Football and NFL’s top positions for the week. This wager stank of professionalism and high-quality as GB +2.5 was the correct position from kickoff to the final whistle. It was never the Titans. It was always Green Bay. At no time whatsoever, were you ever concerned with Green Bay in the Teaser Market.

GBP wagering just means more in my hands compared to the rest. How many curtain jerkers told you to bet the Titans?
